New DVD set being released by TCM: John Ford - The Columbia Films Collection, including several of Ford's more obscure works. The New York Times has a nice write-up here.
Films included are:
The Whole Town's Talking (1935)
The Long Gray Line (1955)
Gideon's Day (1958)
The Last Hurrah (1958)
Two Rode Together (1961)
I'm a champion of Two Rode Together, a more pointed revisiting of The Searchers (though not as artistically accomplished). The Long Gray Line is... okay. As a Jack Hawkins fan, I'm most keen on catching Gideon's Day.
Good news to wake up to on a dreary Sunday.
