Ten things the Devil doesn't want us to believe

Picture: Shameless Popery

It's easy to think of the things that Satan wishes us to believe about the state of Holy Mother Church (see HERE).

But, we often forget (and he does not remind us) of the things he wants us to airbrush out of our memories.

Spiritual amnesia is one of his most potent weapons and we need to guard against it.

Here are ten of the things that, I believe, he wants us to disregard and discard.....

1. That Our Lady is the Mother of Christ and has her heel on the head of the serpent.

2. The Ten Commandments - how often do you hear those quoted today?

3. The chastity of St Joseph, foster father to the Christ child

4. That our priests are 'Other Christs', born to a lifetime of sacrifice

5. We are still the one, true Church - and always will be

6. Fatima demands our attention and our prayers and penances

7. At Mass, bread and wine are changed into the actual Body and Blood of Christ

8. That the doctrines of HMC are set in stone and cannot be replaced by a false conscience

9. Sanctity of life

10. Power of the Rosary

Will Pope Francis be 'The Pope of Fatima?'

Tomorrow, May 13th, anniversary of the 1917 apparition of Our Lady to the three children, the Bishop of Fatima, at the behest of Pope Francis, will dedicate the Holy Father's papacy to Our Lady of Fatima.

For those who know well the Fatima saga and who have a devotion to Our Lady, this will be a welcome move, placing the Fatima message firmly back at the top of the Catholic agenda:

"Repent, do penance and pray"

But it will still fall short of Our Lady's original request that the Holy Father should consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart.

Various Popes have skirted around this request and Pope Pius XII even dedicated the world to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart at the height of World War 2, on October 31st 1942.

But Russia and her errors were not the focus of this consecration as had been asked.
However, the act did mark a turning point in the war and from that moment on, the Allies began to gain ground.

Antonio Ruffini -  a chapel dedicated in his name was approved of
by Pope Pius XII

It was the now dead Italian stigmatist, Antonio Ruffini, who prophesied that Pope Francis would be the Pope who would, at last, consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of the Mother of God.

In his own words, in answer to the question:

"Is John Paul II the Pope who will do the consecration to Russia"

He replied:

“No, it’s not John Paul.  It will not be his immediate successor either, but the one after that.  He is the one who will consecrate Russia.”

Pope Francis has made a bold start by dedicating his Papacy to Our Lady of Fatima, it remains to be seen if, at last, Our Lady's Immaculate Heart will triumph with regard to Russia.
