The Feast of Epiphany

Fr Ray Blake celebrates a Traditional Latin Mass at St Mary Magdalen's Church while Brighton is plunged into freezing temperatures and snow flurries keep many indoors.

What with Bishops having moved the Feast of Epiphany to Sunday numbers were thin on the ground and snow, of course, was encasing people in their homes, since the buses are grounded and the last time it snowed like this people broke limbs on their way to and from Mass. But there were a few people in the Choir, a few in the pews, Fr Ray Blake celebrating, Little Brother of the Oratory, Andrew, serving impeccably and God, His Angels and Saints, of course. The Choir sang this lovely Gregorian Chant at Communion. Watch out for the annoyingly loud 'click' at the beginning of the piece.



Henry of View from Outside got some good pictures, so hopefully Fr Ray will put them on his blog. It was cold, but as I'm sure the wise men felt, it was worth it. Is Christmas over now? I've got post-Christmas blues, chills and lethargy. It may be a 'winter wonderland' outside, but we've slipped into Ordinary Time. Still, there is plenty to celebrate because the Week for Christian Unity is nearly upon us and that means another opportunity to invite the Methodists, Anglicans, Baptists and SSPX faithful to embrace fully the One True Faith. I got back and watched the Harrison Ford film The Fugitive. Great film! I've always suspected those pharmaceutical companies are up to no good! When they're not making people with mental illness infertile they're assassinating doctors who are about to blow their cover on the other side effects. I hear most GPs are actually in the pay of pharmaceutical companies to give people their drugs, but anyway, something for another day.

This is an atrocious version(s)! I think the Choir managed something a little more suitable for the Feast of Epiphany, opting to lose the kazoos and electric guitars, during a beautiful Sung High TLM at St Mary Magdalen. Good video, though.
