Franciscans Prefer It In Latin
Image from New Liturgical Movement
Thanks to Fr Tim Finegan who posted a piece on the Franciscans of the Immaculate (FFI) celebrating Mass in the Extraordinary Form at the Basilica of St John Lateran, Rome, in honour of the 800th anniversary of the papal endorsement of the Rule of St Francis of Assisi. I went to Latin Mass tonight and had some spaghetti bolognese, grapes, wine and ice cream afterwards with fellow parishioners of St Mary Magdalen's. We had a good chin-wag and discussed receiving Our Blessed Lord kneeling and on the tongue, among other hot Catholic issues of the day. Cracking.
