Yet another Hollywood legend has gone to the big studio in the sky.
Sidney Lumet directed an interesting variety of "socially conscious" films: Fail-Safe, Serpico and Dog Day Afternoon among them. However, he'll probably be best-remembered for 12 Angry Men (1957), easily the greatest trial drama Hollywood has ever produced.
RIP Mr. Lumet. You'll be missed.
